German newspaper Bild report on Saturday morning that Liverpool are in a bidding war to sign Jurgen Klopp target Christian Pulisic.

To be frank, it’s not a bidding war that Liverpool will be able to win easily, because rather than some mid table team from around Europe with average finances, the mighty Reds will find themselves up against PSG, if Bild are to be believed.

Liverpool, like most big English clubs, can usually win most bidding wars, but this one may be different.

Bild state that, according to their own information, PSG’s sporting director Patrick Kluivert (if you missed that one, it happened during the summer) has identified the Borussia Dortmund player as the club’s prime target, and they’re ready to bid big bucks for him.

PulisicLiverpool would obviously have the lure of former Dortmund manager Klopp and his reputation of bringing young players through to the very top level. Being at Dortmund, Pulisic will be all aware of Klopp and what he can do for those wanting to make a big name in the game.

Bild say that with the interest of Liverpool and PSG, Dortmund could be set to face a new ‘pain thresh-hold’ for Pulisic.
