Pierre-Michel Lasogga’s good recent run for Leeds United could see him end up at a Premier League club, believe German newspaper Bild.

Whilst Leeds United still have an outside chance of making the play-offs, that’s not the route which Bild are hinting at.

Not for the first time, it’s reported in Germany that Lasogga’s goalscoring form could see him move to the top flight of English football, with Hamburg then able to get a transfer fee in the summer window.

Lasogga has a year left on his Hamburg and Leeds United didn’t negotiate a buying option in the season long loan. Even if they had one, the striker would surely be tempted should a Premier League club come in for him.

Bild put Lasogga’s market value at €2.5m and believe there’s only a 20% chance of him being at Hamburg next season should the club be relegated. HSV look set for their first ever relegation, and they simply wouldn’t be able to afford Lasogga’s wages.

If that €2.5m figure is correct then Leeds should probably do everything in their power to get a deal done themselves.
