Earlier this morning we covered Ruhr Nachricten’s slant on Jadon Sancho to Manchester United. The newspaper, local to Borussia Dortmund, is reliable and calm when it comes to transfer claims.
It was made clear negotiations are tough, with Dortmund sticking to their €120m claim and wanting a lot of that upfront. Interestingly, they also hinted that the August 10th deadline, which they had revealed at the start of July, may not be quite as concrete as BVB have wanted the media to believe.
Kicker has a different slant, and there’s a line in their latest article which isn’t going to go down well with Manchester United fans: ‘According to Kicker information, there is currently no contact between Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United.’
They go on to add: ‘Those who have not been communicating with each other for weeks can hardly discuss payment arrangements with one another.’
The German outlet also insists that Dortmund are continuing to send out the message that if the August 10th deadline is missed, Sancho will go to the Swiss training camp and still play for them next season. However, they do state this could be a transfer strategy.
Kicker believe Manchester United ‘do not seem to be in a particular hurry’.
