The success of Jadon Sancho in Germany made Bundesliga clubs look more towards England for young recruits.

With an idea of finding youngsters not getting enough minutes, tempting them to move with the promise of better development, and then making many millions when selling them back to the Premier League, the Bundesliga got to work.

So far, nobody has managed to match the Sancho success.

Everton have been a part of it, RB Leipzig tried incredibly hard to get a deal done for Ademola Lookman, working for two windows to sign a player they’ve struggled to work out what to do with.

Now another Everton youngster has caught the eye, report Kicker on Wednesday.

Antony Evans, a 21 year old midfielder, is of interest to Paderborn.

Currently 17th out of 18 in the table, Paderborn find themselves in a relegation battle.

Evans’ contract expires in June so the German side may be looking for Everton to release him, perhaps offering a percentage of a future transfer fee.

Alternatively they could wait until the summer for a free transfer.
