Borussia Dortmund have taken scout Sebastian Frank from Liverpool, report Bild.
With a headline reading ‘He comes from Liverpool – BVB grabs Klopp scout’ it’s reported Frank has left the Anfield club for BVB, a side where he has plenty of connections.
Frank had been working for Klopp and Liverpool as the club’s Germany scout for 19 months, and before that Bild explain he held a similar role at Leicester City, with there being some insinuation he holds a little credit for the Foxes’ Premier League success.
Sebastian’s father, Wolfgang, was a ‘Mainz coaching legend’ and Klopp played under him for two years. Wolfgang later became a mentor of Klopp as the Liverpool manager was starting out in his coaching career.
Benjamin Frank, Sebastian’s brother, is already a scout at Dortmund, and the connections pile up with father Frank having played for the club.
It’s suggested by Bild that Sebastian Frank could be being lined up to replace Sven Mislintat, who left BVB for Arsenal.
