Bild have now given their take on claims from The Independent that Bayern Munich believe they’ve beaten competition to secure the services of Aaron Ramsey.

The Welshman’s contract with Arsenal expires at the end of June, and after a breakthrough it was reported Ramsey is expected to sign a long term contract with the Bundesliga club.

Digging into the rumours, Bild, who have excellent connections to Bayern Munich, say the background to the rumour revolves around 18 year old Alphonso Davies. Currently playing for Vancouver Whitecaps, the youngster is the subject of a deal which takes him to Bayern in January.

Bild say Davies’ agent, David Baldwin, also represents Ramsey. That led to the Arsenal player being offered to the German champions.

However, it’s stated there ‘can be no talk of an agreement’, and that Ramsey is being offered to several clubs in Europe.

Bild aren’t ruling out Bayern Munich, they just relay that their own information would dismiss the idea of a done deal. That may be partly because they couldn’t officially agree with Ramsey until January.
