On Friday, Hannoverische Allgemeine Neue Presse’s journalist Andreas Willeke wrote Liverpool are in talks with Hannover 96 about a loan spell for one of the Premier League side’s players, but his identity hasn’t been revealed.
Willeke reports of a surprise visit from Julina Ward, who asked to talk with Hannover’s manager. Ward is the ‘Loan Pathways & Football Partnership manager at Liverpool Football Club’, as described in the claims.
According to the German newspaper, his job in Hannover was to check whether the club is well-managed and with suitable conditions, as they are heavily interested in borrowing one of Liverpool’s players. While Liverpool competed in the Audi Cup in Munich, Ward travelled to Hannover to visit Hannover.
Willeke writes there was a meeting with Hannover’s manager and sporting director. It’s been claimed the Liverpool player the German side are interested in is an attacker, but is not Lazar Markovic, Sheyi Ojo or Divock Origi.
Along with Hannover, there are many English and Bundesliga clubs interested in the unnamed player, and as Hannover don’t have enough money to buy him, they are trying to get him for on a loan deal. However, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has not yet agreed to the move.
