Gennaro Gattuso is in charge at AC Milan, but his future beyond this season remains uncertain.

Tutto Mercato Web claims the Serie A outfit may plan their future without their current manager.

Their newly appointed chief executive officer Ivan Gazidis, who joined them after leaving Arsenal, is looking at various candidates to replace Gattuso for next season.

It’s claimed that last December, Gazidis used his past connection with Arsene Wenger to see if the former Gunners manager would be interested. It didn’t go anywhere.

It’s claimed that Gazidis has ‘probed’ Unai Emery, who joined the north London club after his spell with Paris Saint-Germain.

The Serie A outfit’s chief likes the former Sevilla manager and it’s claimed he’ll cost less (£6m, close to €7m) when compared to the likes of Antonio Conte and other available options

It’s all a little strange, considering the fact that Arsenal signed Emery less than a year ago. Even if Gazidis is keen on signing the Spaniard, taking him away from the English club will not be an easy task for him and Milan.

TWM also explains Marseille’s Rudi Garcia is another option for the Rossoneri, but their sporting director Leonardo is not in favour of the Ligue 1 coach.
