Fulham’s new signing Rodrigo Muniz is on his way to Europe, according to reports from Brazil.

Journalist Venê Casagrande published on Twitter a picture of the player at the airport, as the striker was taking photographs with Flamengo fans before taking his flight.

Back on Thursday, the reporter had already claimed that Muniz would soon be leaving Brazil. It’s been said he’s now set to have a quarantine period in Spain before going to London.

It’s once again stated that Fulham spent €8m to sign the player, while Flamengo will keep 25% of a future sale.

In a story on O Dia, Casagrande writes that the transfer has been ‘very celebrated’ by Flamengo, as the club felt like they managed to make a great valuation of the player.

After all, they’re making good money on a striker who’s only the third option in the team.

Still, it doesn’t mean Fulham are being fooled.

Muniz is on the bench because the Rio de Janeiro side are full of stars, with Gabriel Barbosa and Pedro fighting to be the number 9 spot.

The Whites’ new signing has shown great potential when used, having scored nine goals in his first 25 appearances.
