On August 2nd, Het Laatste Nieuws reported Fulham’s interest in Anderlecht’s Kara Mbodji was the ‘most concrete’ option.

Another report from the same publication claimed Anderlecht fans were horrified when the club signed Isaac Kiese Thelin for €1.7m, six months after he joined them on loan in January 2017.

The duo missed training on Wednesday and HLN now reports the two players still didn’t train Hein Vanhaezebrouck’s side on Thursday. It’s claimed the absence has everything to do with imminent transfers.

Newcastle United and Lokomotiv Moscow are keen on signing Thelin and both have tabled bids of €5 to €6m, which have been accepted by the Jupiler Pro League club. Now it is up to the Anderlecht player to make a choice, but the Russian club are believed to be in pole position.

For Kara, he is on the radar of the newly promoted Premier League club and is also attracting interest from France. However, the Senegalese international ‘seems to prefer England’.

Het Nieuwsblad also have a report about Thelin and Kara. They claim Dynamo Kiev are interested in the Swede, but they want to take him on loan with a purchase option.

The attacker’s employers want to sell him and will look at other options if Kiev fail to make a serious offer.

A move to Lokomotiv could be appealing as they play in the Champions League.

Regarding Kara, the Fulham route is pushed forward and Anderlecht are willing to sell him immediately for €5m.
