Back at the weekend, reports from Brazil sounded very optimistic regarding Fulham’s quest to sign André from Fluminense.

A report from journalist Jorge Nicola said the Whites are the ‘big favourites’ to get the transfer done, as a €30m offer pleased the Rio de Janeiro side.

However, as Goal Brasil now shares its own story on the situation, they don’t place Fulham in such advantage to get the signing done.

First of all, they say Fluminense’s plan is to make at least €35m with the sale, making it sound like the bid reported by Nicola wouldn’t be enough.

Then it’s claimed that there’s no clear lead from any clubs in this race. Fulham are placed alongside Liverpool as the clubs who made contact, willing to pay a ‘high price’ on the signing, but it’s said there have been no formal offers so far.

It’s claimed that Sporting CP are also interested in taking André to Portugal, but they don’t seem to have the financial power to compete with Premier League clubs, so England remain being the most likely destination for the player.

This report makes it look like Fulham are not as advanced as Nicola first said, but still, it’s clear the Whites have good chances of completing this transfer, just as long as they put enough money on the table.
