This week, we had seen confident reports from the Portuguese media claiming Braga midfielder Almoatasembellah Al Musrati was close to moving from Braga to Fulham.
It was said the Cottagers had accelerated for a deal and the 26-year-old could soon join the Whites for their upcoming Premier League campaign.
However, as we get to see a couple of stories about the midfielder today, we read that Fulham are actually far from winning the race for him.
One of the articles comes from Jornal de Notícias. The newspaper writes that despite being a target for the Cottagers, who are willing to spend €15m on the signing, the midfielder is still wanted by Turkish and German clubs.
Then we have a stronger piece from O Jogo, who point out that Libya released Al Musrati to sort out his future.
The newspaper writes that Fulham are ‘very attentive’ to the midfielder, but ‘his destination could be another’. They say even though reports from England claim the player is ‘one step’ from joining the Cottagers, the situation is a little different.
It’s claimed the London side follow Al Musrati ‘for some time’, but the player ‘is not a priority’ for manager Marco Silva. O Jogo says he could actually end up going somewhere else, with joining Jorge Jesus at Fenerbahce being a possibility.
