The stories linking André to Fulham may have been quiet for a while, but there’s actually a reason for that.
Fluminense are now completely focused on the Club World Cup. Last night, they played the final fixture of the Brazilian League, and now take a trip to Saudi Arabia for the tournament.
As Globo Esporte writes about this trip, they claim André may have just had his farewell with the home fans, as the Fulham target may not ever return to Rio de Janeiro.
It’s highlighted that English clubs have been after the midfielder, and Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt already admitted that he may leave after the Club World Cup.
The Tricolor are claimed to have a ‘deal’ with the player to get him sold at the end of the year. Fulham are said to be one of the candidates, along with Liverpool and Arsenal.
The word in Brazil has been that over €30m will be needed to sign André Fluminense, and time will tell whether the Whites can bring that amount of money to the table.
