Three days ago, journalist Rudy Galetti stated Fulham are ready to open talks over a deal for Fiorentina’s Igor Julio.
The Serie A side are aware they could see the centre-back and his partner, Nikola Milenković, move elsewhere in this window and are searching the market for their replacements.
That’s according to Viola News, who point out Fulham’s interest in the Brazilian, who had mixed performances last season.
This, however, didn’t have an impact on his market value and suitors as Marco Silva’s side are still showing ‘great insistence’ to sign him. The Italian club paid €6m to take him from SPAL in 2021 and the report states he’s now worth at least €8m.
Faced with the possibility of losing Igor and Milenković, it’s said Fiorentina are evaluating signing Lecce’s Federico Baschirotto and Brescia’s Andrea Cistana.
Last week, Idor’s agent admitted they are “looking around” for a new club this summer. With Silva’s side remaining keen, at least according to multiple Italian reports, and Fiorentina already looking for his successor, Fulham seem to be in the driving seat to secure the Brazilian’s services.
