On Thursday, L’Equipe take a close look at Dijon’s situation in France, who were expected to sell quite a few of their players this summer, yet few exits have actually happened.

Their star striker Lois Diony was the main one, but one of their loanees, according to the French newspaper, could also be on his way out.

Sent to Clermont Foot in Ligue 2 to get first-team football, Mamadou Thiam appears to have impressed at least one club with his performances this season, and that is Fulham in the Championship.

The Cottagers signed Cyriac on loan from Oostende to provide backup for both Sone Aluko and Floyd Ayité, and with the 26-year-old expected to return to Belgium, a new man will be needed to fight for a first-team spot and provide competition.

Thiam, a strong and quick striker, seems to fit the bill, and with decent dribbling skills and a good eye for goal to boot, a cheap deal for the 22-year-old could prove a bargain for Slavisa Jokanovic next season.

L’Equipe explain that his exit from Dijon is likely, with Craven Cottage the predicted destination.

Unlikely to be expensive, this could be a bargain for Fulham, who will want to push on from last season, when they lost in the playoffs against Reading.
