Fulham are ‘showing great interest’ in Bayern Munich striker Joshua Zirkzee, with the youngster likely to leave the German giants this summer.

That’s according to Sport 1, who cover the situation around Zirkzee after his successful loan spell with Anderlecht last season.

The Dutchman has attracted interested after scoring 18 goals and registering 13 assists in Belgium and would prefer not to be a back up at the Allianz this season.

That is the role he is likely to have, though, and thus a future with Bayern is ‘rather difficult to imagine’ at this point.

Zirkzee is focused on securing continued playing time and he and his agent, Kia Joorabchian, are looking at their options.

Fulham are one of those who are keen and ‘showing great interest’ in a deal for him.

Joorabchian is ‘well connected’ in the Premier League, where one of his clients include Philippe Coutinho, which could facilitate a move.

There is also the option to stay in Germany and VfB Stuttgart could be interested if they were to sell Sasa Kalajdzic.

At this point, there is no mention of a bid from Fulham or even contacts with Joorabchian, just that they are showing interest in the 21-year-old.
