As Al-Hilal come strong to sign Aleksandar Mitrovic from Fulham, the Arab media today share an interesting update on the situation.
WinWin journalist Mohammed Hamdi features a story claiming the Whites may end up accepting to sell their star to Saudi Arabia.
It’s claimed that a source close to Fulham’s administration claimed that despite the club’s ‘real desire’ to keep Mitrovic, they may give in to his ‘insistence’ in making the move.
The report says the ‘rebellion’ carried out by the player may end up convincing the Whites, even though they’ll ‘try to achieve the maximum financial benefit’ from it.
That means Fulham will keep pushing to see how far Al-Hilal can get. So far, the Arab side put up to €40m on the table.
It’s claimed that the relationship between Mitrovic and the Craven Cottage side has been ‘strained’ since the club claimed they would not sell him.
Al-Hilal are reportedly offering the player a three-year contract where he’d make €25m per season. Now it seems they must raise their bid for Fulham to accept his departure.
