Premier League side Fulham are working on signing Galatasray centre-back Victor Nelsson, according to reports.

The news comes from Italy, where Tutto Mercato Web reports that the Whites are ‘trying the shot in defence’ and are ‘ready for a maxi offer’ for the transfer.

The outlet highlights the competition from Sevilla, who reportedly already placed a bid of €14m for Nelsson. Now it’s said Fulham are about to ‘relaunch’ their attempt for the player, with the report making it sound like they’ll outbid the La Liga side.

Tutto Mercato Web doesn’t bring any further details on how much Fulham will put on the table for the transfer, or if the player would be likelier to move to London instead of the Spanish club.

Victor Nelsson had already been linked to Premier League sides this year, with Newcastle United and Aston Villa both said to be interested in his signing. Those rumours haven’t had any developments for months, and now it seems it’s Fulham who could bring the Denmark international to English football.
