As Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha prepares to leave the club as a free agent this summer, Fulham show up as a strong contender to land him.
These are claims made by Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, who report the 27-year-old should indeed move to the Premier League.
It’s said that despite Lazio’s efforts to agree a new contract with him, the board could not achieve that, and after joining in 2013, he’s now leaving for free.
The website claims ‘many clubs’ are interested in his signing, especially from Germany and England, but it’s only Fulham who are actually mentioned in the story.
Calcio Mercato writes that Fulham are, ‘in particular’ one of those who’d like to land Strakosha, as ‘pressing’ for his arrival at the London club continues. It’s said there’s no agreement with him yet, but they’d like to have him at Craven Cottage soon.
The links with the Cottagers have been going on for a few months, while Newcastle United have also been said to be interested.
