As recent reports from Brazil have been claiming that clubs are again chasing Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz, it seems there’s a good reason for them to believe that a new effort could be successful.
It’s JB Filho who now features a story on this battle, stating that Grêmio are willing to move to sign the centre-forward in January.
It’s recalled that the club already tried to land Muniz in the summer, and back then, despite the player’s approval, it was his family who chose that he stayed at Fulham.
The problem is that the striker has been playing little, with eight appearances this season so far, and that’s why he’s ‘back on the radar’.
Grêmio are thinking of a way to convince Muniz of a transfer. If they get the green light, only then will they open talks with Fulham.
JB Filho says the Whites demanded €5m to let the striker leave in the summer, and it’s not yet known how much they’d demand this time.
Muniz’s contract with Fulham runs until 2026, with an option for an extra year.
