Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira was interviewed by RonaldoTv, and despite mostly speaking about his spell in Brazil, there were some words about his move to the Whites this summer.
Back at the start of the year, there was a big saga with Flamengo, who had him on loan, trying to keep the player from Manchester United. Once they failed to make the signing, then the Craven Cottage side managed to find a deal with the Red Devils and bring him to London.
Andreas now doesn’t hide that he’d have rather stayed at the Brazilian club, and claims that his Flamengo connection isn’t over yet.
“I would love to stay there in Mengão, but unfortunately things turned out differently,” Andreas Pereira told RonaldoTv.
The midfielder also didn’t say a lot about the plans he has at Fulham, claiming he looks forward to other clubs he’ll play for in European football.
“I’m sure I’ll go there still. But I still have dreams here in Europe, to play here yet. Playing for other clubs, there are several titles here that I still want to win. So I said ‘I’m still going to try this dream here in Europe’.”
Among the many questions regarding the difference between Brazilian and English football, Andreas talked about the little pressure there is in the Premier League when his club is defeated. Taking an example, he mentioned how he can calmly walk from the stadium after a disappointing result.
“The parking lot is kind of far from the stadium. We said: ‘And after the game, how do we get in the car and leave?’
“And the guys said: ‘Just leave the stadium and walk to the car’. I said ‘Wow bro, and if we lose the game, won’t things go bad? Then the guys said nothing happens.”
