According to a claim in the Turkish media, Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay will turn down a move to Fulham.
The Scotland international has been linked with a move to Craven Cottage in recent weeks, but they face competition from Galatasaray.
Haber Sarikirmizi have reported on comments made by Uğur Karakullukçu with regards to Fulham and Galatasaray pursuing the Manchester United man. The Galatasaray pundit said despite an offer coming in from the Premier League side, the player doesn’t want to move to west London.
Uğur Karakullukçu went on to say the Turkish champions have tabled an offer with Manchester United and that a deal could be completed within two weeks.
“Fulham have made a €30m offer to Manchester United for Scott McTominay, but Scott McTominay doesn’t want to go to Fulham. Galatasaray have already offered Manchester United €20m for Scott McTominay. This transfer will take 10-15 days, so it is necessary to wait. Manchester United need to bring in 1-2 midfielders and then they are going to let Scott go,” said Karakullukçu.
Earlier today we covered reports from the Turkish press that Galatasaray have come in with an improved offer of €20m for the 27-year-old. Cimbom’s initial bid was reportedly just €15m.
However, the latest offer is still short of Manchester United’s valuation, and it’s very likely they’ll need to up their bid.
McTominay made 43 appearances for Manchester United last season, scoring 10 goals. He’s contracted to the club until June 2025, and they have the option to extend this for another year.
