Gleison Bremer’s explosion at Torino has seen clubs in Italy and across Europe take note, and also register an interest to sign him in the summer.
This includes the likes of Inter Milan, Juventus, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, but the centre-back could already have been in England by now if his move to Fulham would have taken shape last summer.
Fulham were one of the three sides to get relegated from the Premier League last season, and in their efforts to return to the top flight, they wanted to bolster their defence in the summer of 2021.
The Brazilian was identified as one of the targets by the Cottagers, according to Gianluca Di Marzio’s Grand Hotel Calciomercato, and in order to secure his services, Fulham made a €15m offer to the Serie A side, through the player’s agency, CAA Base.
However, the defender was not in favour of joining the Championship side last summer, and the Brazilian told Torino chairman Urbano Cairo he would prefer to stay with his current employer instead of moving to Craven Cottage for Fulham.
It was a ‘wise decision’, considering how things are at the moment and also the clubs that are currently showing interest in Bremer.
The website ends the report by stating: ‘He enjoys the present. And the future awaits him’.
