The Brazilian media today reports on Fulham interest in São Paulo defender Luizão.
The information is brought by website Globo Esporte, and they feature a story pointing out that since the player’s contract expires on the 31st of January, he’s already free to sign a pre-contract with any club he wants.
It’s said that in the past few days, three European sides made approaches to get to know more about his situation. Those were Benfica, Porto and Fulham.
Those clubs aren’t only interested in signing him as a free agent next year, but also checked the possibility of a negotiation in the current transfer window.
However, it turns out that despite this whole situation which attracts the interest from those sides, Globo Esporte writes that Luizão’s priority is still to sign a new deal with São Paulo, as he’s been getting more playing time with Rogério Ceni’s side recently.
So if Fulham and others are that keen on signing the 20-year-old, it seems they’ll have to convince him over making the move to Europe now.
