Earlier today, Portuguese outlet A Bola reported Fulham’s interest in Benfica midfielder Florentino Luís.
It was claimed that with João Palhinha leaving for Bayern Munich, Marco Silva wants a new name for midfield and sees the Eagles’ player as a target. The story claimed that the Lisbon side would demand €30m for the transfer.
Well, it didn’t take long until outlet Record showed up with their own piece, but this time denying Fulham’s interest in Florentino.
The website shows up to say that the midfielder is out of the Whites’ plans. As even though they need a replacement for Palhinha, the 24-year-old isn’t on their list.
Florentino has been linked to several English clubs lately, and Record claims that he indeed has a market among Premier League sides, but that does not include Fulham.
Those are two major Portuguese outlets showing conflicting information on the same day, so we should soon get to know who’s right.
This season, Florentino recovered his good football at Benfica, and interest from Fulham wouldn’t be something crazy.
