It now looks like Flamengo striker Rodrigo Muniz can no longer escape from Fulham’s hands.
According to the latest reports from Brazil, the clubs are now sorting out the final details before his transfer to the Championship side can be announced.
Journalist Venê Casagrande, who’s been covering the whole saga, writes that Flamengo officials Bruno Spindel and Marcos Braz went to Spain to ‘finalise the operation’ along with the player’s agent.
It’s said the clubs started the exchange of contracts so the transfer can be done. The parties are now set to check the documents as the last part of the operation.
Casagrande claims that the deal should now be completed for €8m. At first, Flamengo would have only 20% of a future transfer, but after recent talks, the Brazilian side managed to convince Fulham to let them get 25%.
Rodrigo Muniz is 20 years old and still hadn’t been able to be a regular starter at the Rio de Janeiro club, given the many stars they have for the position. He has five goals and one assist in 24 appearances for the club.
The player tested positive for Covid last Saturday, and that should delay his presentation at Fulham a little.
