Bournemouth and Fulham are ‘very interested’ in a move for Lyon’s Romain Faivre this summer and talks are already underway with his entourage.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the Premier League duo are exploring a possible move for the 23-year-old striker.
They explain that after a complicated start to the season at Lyon, Faivre has been impressing on loan at Lorient for the last six months.
That ‘did not go unnoticed in the Premier League’, where Bournemouth and Fulham have ‘already started talks’ with the player’s entourage about a possible transfer.
They are very interested in a potential deal and Bournemouth, whose owners also own 40% of Lorient, are contemplating the idea of signing him and then loaning him back to Lorient for next season.
The Cherries ‘have an ambitious project’ and want to establish themselves in the top flight permanently, with a focus on young signings for the future.
Faivre is ‘interested in the idea’ of moving to the Premier League and remains ‘open to offers’ so would be happy to join either Bournemouth of Fulham if they were to come forward.
Lyon are also happy to sell if they can recover the €15m they paid to sign him in the first place, although whether either side would be willing to pay that figure isn’t mentioned.
What is clear is that Faivre will not be lacking suitors this summer after impressing at Lorient in the last few months.
