Fulham are absolutely desperate to sign a centre back before the end of the window, are you aware of that? You should be.

Scott Parker and company’s leaky start to life in the Premier League has caused a panicked rush at the end of the transfer window, and they’ve subsequently been linked to pretty much every available central defender in Europe.

Between Omar Colley, Timo Baumgartl and Marlon, there’s barely a centre back they haven’t made a bid for. We can now add Atalanta’s Berat Djimsiti to the list, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

They report that Fulham has ‘targeted’ the centre back and made a ‘first draft’ of an offer, tabling a bid worth €19m in total.

They’ve also offered the 27-year-old a deal worth €2.5m per season, although the length of the contract isn’t mentioned.

Nor is the Italian side’s response to the supposed bid but TMW say that there are ‘warm hours’ incoming for the defender just 48 hours before the end of the window.

That would suggest Fulham have a chance of getting their man and he could be the answer to the Cottagers’ frantic last-minute trolley dash.
