Brazilian winger Willian is in talks to join Fulham, according to reports from Brazil.
Goal today writes that the Whites are currently one of the ‘most interested’ sides in the winger. They claim to have got this information from ‘an agent linked to the English club’.
The story adds that Fulham and Willian ‘already negotiate the details’ of a transfer. It’s claimed that the player’s contract with Corinthians has a clause which ‘facilitates’ his return to Europe.
Even though the winger’s return to the Brazilian club was taken with lots of excitement from fans and media, things haven’t been going great for the player there. So far, he’s had one goal and six assists in 44 games for the club, and being unable to impress, there’s been dissatisfaction with his form.
Willian obviously has some big experience playing in the Premier League for London clubs, as he had 337 appearances for Chelsea and another 37 for Arsenal.
For now, it isn’t said how much Fulham would need to pay to take him away from Corinthians. His contract with the Brazilian side runs until December 2023.
