At the weekend, Boca Juniors’ Aaron Anselmino travelled to England to complete a move to Chelsea. Prior to his trip, he told ESPN that his transfer to the Premier League side happened quickly.
As part of the deal, Chelsea have agreed to allow the defender to return to Boca Juniors on loan until next summer, with an option to recall him at the end of this year.
The Argentine has already returned to his country, after carrying out medical tests, and also seems to have signed a contract with Chelsea.
The Blues are yet to make the deal official, but ESPN spoke to him again, to ask his views on his impending transfer to Stamford Bridge, and Planeta Boca Juniors have relayed his quotes.
“Any player dreams of playing in Europe, I can say that I have already fulfilled my first dream,” he said.
The centre-back has been impressed with the English club’s facilities, but his immediate focus is to win silverware with Boca Juniors this year.
“I saw the grounds, the stadium, everything was very nice. I’m very happy and my family is happy. It would be the nicest thing to win a title with Boca in these months,” Anselmino explained.
The 19-year-old met Enzo Fernández during his visit to Chelsea. Planeta Boca Juniors say the World Cup winner is ‘already waiting’ for his compatriot to arrive in London.
On meeting Fernández, Anselmino said: “I told him that I admire him a lot and thanked him: hopefully I will be able to meet him soon. It was very good of him, he helped me a lot at that time.”
