Davide Ancelotti’s potential move to Rangers does not appear to be done yet, with Spanish club Deportivo de la Coruña muscling in.
That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who report that Ancelotti’s move to Ibrox is not done as yet, and Rangers are facing competition for him.
They explain that Ancelotti is hot property at this moment in time as he’s set to part ways from his father, who has taken charge of Brazil, and start his own managerial career.
Rangers have been credited with an interest and several reports have claimed the deal taking him to Ibrox is progressing. It appears to be between him and Steven Gerrard at this moment in time.
They now face competition from Deportivo, though, with Marca editor José Félix Díaz saying on Rubén Martín’s Twitch channel that he is on their radar to take over for next season. They have already expressed an interest in appointing him this summer.
He’s on a list at the Spanish second division time as they look for their new manager this summer.
They do not appear to be moving seriously yet, but they could provide competition to Rangers, who may want to make a decision and move with it sooner rather than later.
