On Thursday, AS reported Real Madrid are willing to raise their offer from €10m to €15m for Trent Alexander-Arnold but won’t meet the €25m requested by Liverpool in the winter market.
The Champions League winners would have changed their stance quickly on signing the Liverpool star in January.
That’s according to Marca, and their senior journalist José Félix Díaz, who state Los Blancos are now willing to reach €25m for the right-back.
Alexander-Arnold has less than six months left on his contract and has said yes to joining the La Liga side for free in the summer. The La Liga side are now trying to close the deal with Arne Slot’s side to sign him this month.
Marca’s José Félix Díaz wrote this report and claims ‘everything is real’, that would be the Madrid club’s interest and the defender’s desire to join them.
It’s also stated Liverpool are aware of this from both Alexander-Arnold and the approach made by Real Madrid, and they also know that there are ‘no bluffs’ from the latter.
Marca claim it’s time for Liverpool to rest and then take time to ‘think about what is the best solution’.
Real Madrid, for their part, are willing to reach €25m despite earlier claims stating otherwise, but José Félix Díaz states they won’t do anything crazy to sign Alexander-Arnold in this window. Slot’s side know ‘time is on Real Madrid’s side’ in this case.
