Nuno Espírito Santo has regularly included Diogo Jota in Wolves’ starting line-ups this season and the forward has repaid his manager’s faith by contributing 15 goals and six assists in all competitions.
The 23-year-old’s impressive displays for the English club have seen him draw attention from Serie A.
This is according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who state the Portugal international has emerged as a transfer ‘idea’ for Napoli, along with AC Milan’s Hakan Çalhanoğlu.
Jota is a ‘name in the notebook’ ahead of the summer window.
Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso appreciates Çalhanoğlu’s profile as he already trained the Turkey international when he was at the San Siro.
It’s claimed the Naples club are working on shaping the squad for next season and have identified Çalhanoğlu as a target.
Although the Italian outlet are talking about Jota, there is no mention if either the former Atlético Madrid man or the Wolves are open to the idea of a transfer in the summer, and it seems unlikely.
Jota’s his current deal at Molineux runs until 2022.
