Leeds United’s objective this season is of course to get promoted back to the Premier League. They narrowly missed out during the last campaign, and will now want to secure automatic promotion from the Championship and avoid the potential heartbreak of playoffs.
The season started off well, however, it’s not gone entirely according to plan since and Leeds United find themselves in fifth position after nine matches.
On 16 points, they’re only three points behind Sunderland and Sheffield United, in first and second respectively, and it’s clear there’s a tough battle ahead between those three and others.
Indeed, there’s only a difference of four points between eighth and first.
Red Bull, who have a stake in Leeds United, recently announced the appointment of Jurgen Klopp in a role which will oversee – and presumably advise – all the clubs they’re involved with.
This week’s edition of SportBild takes a look at that and states Daniel Farke is ‘set to be under the observation’ of the Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund legend.
There’s a belief, from the German magazine, that Farke is now ‘under pressure’ regarding promotion at Leeds United, and the club have ‘suffered a stuttering start’ to their season.
It’s pointed out fresh money has been ‘pumped in’, and results are expected – which SportBild very much believe means promotion.
