Wolves have been linked with a move for Kevin Danso throughout much of the winter transfer window. The Premier League strugglers were pulled back into the picture over the past week, with claims Wolves had made an offer worth around €20m for Danso.

There’s been a lot of contradicting claims around what the player is keen to do this month and how Lens see things. The news has been changing from positive to negative and back again repeatedly, so now it appears Jorge Mendes has arrived to bang heads together.

L’Equipe report the Portuguese agent has been working with Lens directors in recent hours and is building the idea of a loan to the Premier League, with Wolves the only potential destination named.

The idea is Danso would increase his value ahead of the summer, although it’s obviously a gamble. L’Equipe suggest there’d be a €5m loan fee and a €25m purchase option.

However, there’s two negatives.

Firstly, Danso himself isn’t jumping at the idea and needs convincing.

Secondly, Gianluca Di Marzio has just reported Juventus have entered the picture.
