Frank de Boer’s time at Crystal Palace was nothing short of a nightmare for the Dutch manager, following an equally horrible time at Inter Milan.

Whilst the Inter mess couldn’t be placed solely at the door of De Boer, and it’s widely considered Crystal Palace acted too harshly, at the very least the manager’s judgement has seriously been questioned.

He will have far deeper pockets though, fresh from two recent pay-offs, and those pockets could get another boost if China rumours are correct. Soccer News and others in the Netherlands report De Boer could be off to Shanghai SIPG, according to China credited rumours.

Andre Villas Boas is leaving his role in charge of the Chinese club, angry at what he’s called his own failure to win titles this season. The Portuguese manager was paid €13m a year, according to the claims, which is one reason Soccer News believe their compatriot could be interested.

Maybe it’s time for some more financial fortune for De Boer, having handed over the Crystal Palace reigns to Roy Hodgson.
