Manuel Pellegrini certainly isn’t doing too bad a job at West Ham.
The club would certainly like to be higher than the 11th in the Premier League they find themselves in, but it doesn’t feel like there are serious or immediate doubts around his future.
Another summer settling the squad, and Pellegrini can hope for much more from his Hammers team next season.
But, according to France’s RMC, the English club have got a man in mind should they decide to part ways with the Chilean coach.
It’s claimed West Ham have ‘concretely positioned themselves’ for Lyon manager Bruno Genesio.
His future has been under some doubt as the French club’s president plays media games over who will be in charge next summer. Jean-Michel Aulas has clearly enjoyed all the attention the doubt over the position brings, but it can’t be much fun for Genesio.
That’s why the manager has taken on Pini Zahavi, to make sure he’s got options for next season. RMC say that West Ham, and Newcastle for that matter, have moved closer to the agent in recent weeks.
