While the rest of the Premier League have made a lot of noise on the transfer market so far this summer, West Brom have been one of the more quiet teams.
Signing winger Matt Phillips from QPR as their only deal so far, France Football have a report on their website suggesting the Midlands club are well on their way to make a second signing.
The French media outlet states Tony Pulis’ side have made a €12m + €2m bid for young Lille defensive midfielder Ibrahim Amadou, who is also a target for Middlesbrough.
The 23-year-old, who only arrived from Nancy last year, had a good second half of the season for the Ligue 1 side under Frédéric Antonetti, and has since caught the eye of many Premier League clubs.
This is only the first reported bid for the midfielder, but with Sofiane Boufal’s knee still a doubt for a transfer, it has been suggested Lille could look elsewhere for funds to balance their books.
