Today appears to be Raphaƫl Varane day, as everyone tries to get a piece of the action on Thursday.

The French defender only has one year left on his contract at Real Madrid, and with Manchester United lurking and no renewal in sight, the La Liga giants are starting to come to terms with the fact their player might leave this summer.

Most of the updates have been coming from Spain, but we now have something from France, with RMC Sport publishing an article with their own information.

They claim the defender has ā€˜given his approval to start talks with Manchester Unitedā€™, and while Real Madrid are ā€˜open to an exitā€™, they are still waiting for a first offer.

Talks between the Premier League side and the player ā€˜have entered a far more concrete stage over the past few daysā€™, but Varane has no intention of leaving a bad image of himself in Madrid.

He wants to make sure ā€˜everyone finds themselvesā€™ in his transfer, and while ā€˜the first talksā€™ between the clubs have ā€˜been deemed positiveā€™, Manchester United ā€˜must officialise their desire to recruit Varane by sending their first written offerā€™

From the moment the two sides find an agreement, the whole transfer ā€˜could be finalised quicklyā€™.
