Over the past couple of days, a story about a possible Dani Alves transfer to Manchester City has emerged out of nowhere, and it seems to be picking up pace.

Claims of an agreement between Pep Guardiola’s club and the Brazilian full-back have been circulating, but FootMercato in France claim on Tuesday afternoon that isn’t the case yet.

The French website state that nothing has been agreed between the Premier League side and the Juventus defender regarding a move to the Etihad, and that they face competition from last year’s champions too.

FootMercato explain that Chelsea are also very interested in the former Barcelona star, who would fit in perfectly in Antonio Conte’s 3421 at Stamford Bridge, providing much needed competition to Victor Moses.

Whether we will get to see Dani Alves on a regular basis in the Premier League next season remains to be seen, but if an offer lands on Juventus’ desk for the 34-year-old (and with just one year left on his deal, we can’t see it being all that much), they might just accept it.
