It seems that one Swansea player wasn’t enough for Marseille this summer.
After bringing Bafétimbi Gomis back to France on loan for the 2016-17 season, the Ligue 1 club have turned to another former French league player in Franck Tabanou.
The left-back, who can also play further forward, was signed by the Welsh club last summer from Saint-Étienne, but failed to have any sort of impact, eventually ending the season back on loan at his former club.
Returning to Swansea after Saint-Étienne failed to get a permanent deal sorted with the Premier League side, the player is now after a new club.
According to Mohamed Bouhafsi on Twitter, reporting for RMC Sport in France, Marseille contacted Swansea on Monday to enquire about the left-sided player’s availability.

The French journalist also claims there is interest from Spain for the 27-year-old.
This isn’t much, but it’s a start, and it seems unlikely Tabanou will be a Swansea player next season.
Whether that is only temporary or permanent, we’ll have to wait and see.
