Montpellier’s Gaëtan Laborde is on the radar of West Ham United, according to claims from France.
Wednesday’s edition of L’Equipe discusses the Ligue 1 side’s ability to perform well aerially, where the 26-year-old has played a key role.
Laborde has managed six goals and five assists in 17 league appearances this season and 67 percent of his goals were headers.
The newspaper also makes an interesting observation, stating the forward has attempted the most number of headers across the top five leagues in Europe.
Laborde made 22 attempts and with that, he leads the list, ahead of Leeds United’s Patrick Bamford and Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrović.
L’Equipe then mentions the Hammers and suggests the Montpellier attacker’s ability to create aerial threat for the opposition has seen him being identified as a target for David Moyes’ side.
It’s claimed the player is ‘very high’ on West Ham’s transfer target list. That’s about the only information about the Premier League side in the report.
Last month, the same newspaper reported the English side were keen on signing Laborde in the summer and the London club could attract him to join them in the winter market.
