N’Golo Kante is one of football’s most liked individuals.
The World Cup winner is popular with his club and country teammates, fans of both, and even fans of other teams.
But Maurizio Sarri will not change his philosophy for anyone, and that includes the Frenchman. This has seen him edged to a new position this season, to make way for Jorginho, and despite a contract renewal it was always going to encourage rumours.
France’s Le10 Sport have one on Thursday.
They state PSG believe there’s chance of a summer transfer, however small it may be. It’s explained there’s been some ‘indiscretions’ which have revealed Kante’s relationship with his Chelsea manager is ‘not exceptional’.
A summer departure is therefore ‘not excluded’.
But there’s some cold hard reality here for PSG. Even if Kante does want to leave, and even if Chelsea would consider such a prospect, in a summer they may lose Eden Hazard, the money would be huge.
Struggling with FFP, PSG would have to find a way to spend a huge fee on the transfer and add big wages to that.
