Earlier this week there were brief claims from France that Adrien Rabiot has agreed to sign for Juventus.
The midfielder’s contract expires with PSG in just over a week and he’s free to sign with any club he can come to an agreement with.
Those claims of an agreed deal weren’t really backed up, but there’s certainly something happening with Juve. The club spoke about their interest publicly on Thursday, and despite Juve probably not needing the player, it looks to be a genuine possibility.
Manchester United have appeared in a few of the reports recently, and Friday’s edition of Le Parisien also covers interest from them. The Red Devils are ‘always in the ranks’ for Rabiot, and it’s explained sources have informed the Paris newspaper that nothing is done yet with Juve.
Le Parisien say Rabiot has always been a man of surprises, and him signing for Manchester United would only be ‘half a surprise’.
It’s unclear what they precisely mean by that, whether they feel the club are behind in talks but could seal it, or whether they think the destination would be half a surprise on its own.
