Finally.

After months of a situation which was turning into something of a farce, Eduardo Macia today leaves Leicester City.

Earlier this week we covered a series of claims from France which further underlined that Macia was looking to move to Bordeaux and waiting to be released by Leicester.

That followed earlier reports that he was already working on potential summer signings for Girondins, creating a potential conflict of interest and certainly far from the norm.

It was also reported he’d be taking a scouting team to the Ligue 1 club with him, which sounded potentially concerning for the Foxes.

L’Equipe report on Friday that it’s expected Macia will take up his Bordeaux job at the beginning of April, which fits with claims from agent Bruno Satin this week.

Interestingly, they also state Jakob Friis-Hansen has already joined Bordeaux. He’s the scout who it had been reported would be leaving with Macia, and L’Equipe say it’s already happened.

Currently, Friis-Hansen still lists himself as an employee of Leicester City Football Club, so it would be hoped the Premier League club are aware of the situation.
