Earlier in June, Crystal Palace, just like 19 other Premier League clubs, released a few of their players, and Bakary Sako was included in the list.
The attacking midfilder joined the Eagles from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2015 and after being let go by the English outfit, he has failed to find a new club.
According to French newspaper L’Equipe, his situation could change because the 30-year-old has been approached by a club… and that club is none other than Crystal Palace.
Roy Hodgson’s side have contacted the player ‘very recently’ to find out if he would be willing to sign a contract at Selhurst Park.
The report even mentions the discussion could end in the ‘next few hours’, but there is no clear indication if the Malian international will return to the English capital club.
Since L’Equipe does not mention any other club interested in acquiring his services, signing a contract at Palace could be the best option for Sako.
