After claims that Crystal Palace had made a bid for Manchester City’s Eliaquim Mangala, the club have seemingly got their man after all.

Trying over the past few days to bring back Mamadou Sakho, who had a great loan spell from Liverpool during the second half of last season, it appears the Eagles are well on their way to getting their man.

Following Foot Mercato’s earlier report in France via their journalist Dahbia Hattabi, SFR Sport via their Breaking Foot program reveal the Reds and Crystal Palace have reached an agreement for the former Paris Saint-Germain captain for a fee of around €30m.

With the fee now agreed, the 27-year-old will sign a five-year contract at Selhurst Park and will become the best paid player in the Eagles’ history.

During his brief time at Crystal Palace, Sakho made eight appearances, but that was enough to earn him the love from the Selhurst Park faithful.
