Every man and his dog is aware of the situation at Manchester United, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s poor start to the new season as manager currently the talk of the European media.

Tottenham have done their best to get their fair share of ‘bad’ press too, but with Mauricio Pochettino’s exit likely to prove costly, the Argentine seems a tad safer than the Norwegian.

At least, that’s what the general feeling is, even if there is no real threat of the former striker getting replaced anytime soon.

However, there are a number of managers keeping an eye on the problems at Old Trafford.

On Tuesday, Gazzetta dello Sport stated the Manchester United job ‘greatly fascinates’ Max Allegri, and now, RMC Sport, relayed by numerous French outlets, including Le10 Sport and beIN Sports, claim Laurent Blanc is another.

It’s stated the manager’s entourage were contacted, who told the media outlet Blanc is ‘attentive to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s situation’ at Manchester United, hinting it would be a job he would be interested in.

That being said, the former France national team manager is also the number one target for Lyon at the moment, as the Ligue 1 side decided to part ways with summer appointment Sylvinho after he picked up just nine points from their first nine games, with the club currently sitting in 14th, six points behind fourth.

This certainly is something to keep an eye on, but until United pull the plug on Solskjaer’s time at Old Trafford, it means very little.
