French outlet Le 10 Sport has some interesting news for Brentford fans.
The Championship side are said to be in the race for 19-year-old winger Said Arab, who currently plays for third division side Red Star.
With the player becoming a free agent this summer, Le 10 Sport reports that there’s a big race for him, with Saint-Étienne, Lorient and Strasbourg all willing to sign the wonderkid.
It’s Saint-Étienne who are said to be closest to getting Arab at this stage, but the interest from Brentford is mentioned as something that should concern them.
The website takes the examples of Neal Maupay and Saïd Benrahma as players who’ve joined the Championship side and been ‘successful’ there. That’s why this option could attract Said Arab now.
It’s said the approaches were all made in the last week, and considering how close Saint-Étienne are said to be on getting a deal, this battle shouldn’t take long to have an outcome.
