French international Laurent Koscielny has been in sublime form for Arsenal this season, and has led the Gunners to the top of table, level on points with Manchester City and Liverpool.

The 31-year-old has formed a commendable partnership at the back with new signing Skhodran Mustafi.

The Arsenal skipper has also scored crucial goals against Southampton and Burnley to give his team an early momentum in the title race.

Koscielny has also helped his team keep six clean sheets so far in 11 appearances, and the Gunners conceded four goals against Liverpool in the only game he didn’t feature in.

Former France striker Christophe Dugarry has been underlining the importance of Koscielny on French TV channel SFR Sport (via GFFN).

He said: “He is in the best form of his career. He is the true boss and leader of this Arsenal team.”

The Arsenal star was, once again, at his best against Middlesbrough, and kept another clean sheet for his team.

Arsene Wenger has put a lot of faith in Koscielny over the past few years, and the defender hasn’t let him down.
